VIDEO: "Ghostbusters" featuring "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC
"If the ionization-rate is constant for all ectoplasmic entities, we can really bust some heads... in a spiritual sense, of course." -Dr. Ray Stantz
So with this, we start Ghostbusters week, which is my awesome little way of killing a week worth of updates with one of my childhood soft spots. When it comes to the original Ghostbusters, it is always a slightly elusive memory, in the sense that I didn't have the first one. I remember my friends having copies of it and seeing it there and on tv as a kid, eventually getting it when they re-released it on VHS for the 10 year anniversary.
Of course, the Staypuft Marshmallow Man is one of the greatest things I had ever witnessed as a wee lad. Most of the humor went over my head at 5-years-old (except "shit" and "dickless"), so I always felt more at home with the 2nd movie. But over the last few years upon repeat viewings, it's amazing how for a movie that was made in the early 80's, the movie hasn't shown much age, with the exception of some instances of stop motion claymation in use. It's a testament that it has become such a pop culture landmark that still remains timeless to this day.
It's only fitting that in highlighting the awesomeness that is the original Ghostbusters, we'd pick a track taking another icon of the 80's that is still kicking around as if they've never aged with AC/DC, as their music is the epitome of 80's awesome.
If you've never seen Ghostbusters before, then you can kiss the sad empty feeling in side of you goodbye in 5 minutes. And if you've seen the movie once or a thousand times, you can get your fit once more and it won't take 2 hours of your time.
And with that, let's get to the Ghostbusters Week update for Sunday, September 5th, 2010: without further ado, Dizzle presents Ghostbusters featuring "Hell's Bells" by AC/DC. Call 'em now, bitch.
