VIDEO: The Daily Show "Moment Of Zen" featuring Ghostbusters II

I'm a firm believer in the collective unconscious; while we might have our individual experiences and stories, there are some ideas and absolutes that are shared by us all. It's some of the basic psychoanalysis like this that leads way to bigger things, such as psychic readings and such.

Even little occurances such as deja vu can be tied to this anamolly, which is a spot most of us can say we've found ourselves in. You might make a reference to an old movie, then an hour later a commercial comes on advertising that it'll be on TV soon. Or you have a flash of some type of end result, and hours later whatever has happened has led you to that end result. It's crazy, but it happens.

What the hell does this have to do with Ghostbusters? Well, obviously, we're getting there. The collective unconscious was one of the many, many parapsychology topics briefly mentioned in the first film, adding to the idea that maybe these crazy guys who though they could catch ghosts might actually know what they're talking about. Now, I can't prove one way or another if this is something that actually holds any creedence, but what I can prove is that I picked a pretty good time for these ghoul centric updates.

With us getting to the tail end of Ghostbusters Week, I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw up the most recent Ghostbusters reference possible from the Thursday, September 9th edition of The Daily Show for a second update for today. I don't know if its just a case of Comedy Central getting a good deal on licensing rights since they showed both films a few times over the last week, but does it really matter? Honestly, I'll take any references I can get.

For anyone who hasn't caught any episodes of The Daily Show or The Colbert Report lately, the last month has seen Glenn Beck hung out to dry, rightfully so after his "rally". In the spirit of his "huge announcement" that led to the rally, Stewart has promised an "announcement" of his own with Colbert ready to trump his announcement whenever it happens. Now, Stewart has given "clues" as to what his announcement is. So with that, let's bring you to what you've been waiting for: The Daily Show "Moment of Zen" featuring Ghostbusters II.
