One of the things that I was flabbergasted and entranced by as a kid that I still haven't completely given up with (placing it in a similar category with Beavis & Butt-head, South Park, Ghostbusters, & The Simpsons, among many others) is professional wrestling. Yes, it's fake and predetermined. Yeah, it can look pretty ridiculous. But still, any time WWE rolls into town, we usually end up getting free tickets so it's never a bad time, more an awkward awesome way to kill a night.
I'm nowhere near as into it as I was when I was younger, having fallen from the heights of recording every hour of programming Vince McMahon tried to cram onto the airwaves. Nowadays, I catch maybe part of one show a week, opting to read up and wait for the pay-per-views. This past Sunday was Night of Champions, which was universally reviewed as surpassing the low expectations set for it.
Once I got done checking the event out, it was time to throw together another video. This is my first shot at trying to do something with wrestling highlights so sometimes it gets a little laggy with all the lighting of the clips overlapping, but I plan on doing another one in 2 weeks once Hell in a Cell has come and gone and getting into a pretty good groove with how to handle them.
If you plan on catching the entire event eventually, I recommend waiting til after you see it to check out the video. Since there was no theme song for the show, I went with a personal favorite of mine to go along nicely with the recent WWE "youth movement", going with the rapper Drake and his song "Over" off his #1 Billboard debut album Thank Me Later.
So with that that, let's get right into it. Ladies and gentlemen, Dizzle presents to you WWE Night of Champions, featuring "Over" by Drake. Go down for the count and check it out.
