So I figure while I'm looking for some kind of consistent updates to put in place, highlighting the WWE pay-per-views on a regular basis was some kind of good starting point. Granted, since I don't actually order the events live, it takes a few days to get to it, but shut up and deal. The latest offering was Hell in a Cell held this past Sunday in Dallas Texas, which was an above average show with a lot of happening despite no title changes. I figure it doesn't hurt to throw in brief comments on the matches that are highlighted in the video. It did have the dubious distinction of having a rare 2-week gap since the last event, which is the shortest break between events this half of the decade.
Opening the show with a triple threat Submissions Count Anywhere match with John Morrison, U.S. Champ Daniel Bryan, and The Miz with the title up for grabs was a good way to start the show, I had Bryan pegged to win but there were some awesome spots, like the Cattle Mutilation and the dive from the stage.
It was weird seeing one of the two advertised Hell in a Cell bouts go on 2nd, but it worked for the pace of the show. No way Orton was going to lose the title. Wish that him going up top of the cage had happened during the actual bout.
I figured they would throw Edge/Swagger on the card, but I was expecting Swagger to win since Edge has been losing since FOREVER. Glad he won, some pretty good counter wrestler despite the losing effort from the All American American.
I had a feeling Cena would end up joining Nexus, but that hijinks with the locker room coming out for a gang brawl was still a classic moment to see, and it was AWESOME seeing all the little kids upset that Cena lost. I can't believe how many adults in the crowd were even shocked.
Divas Title Match showed some promise, sucks that it was the short match of the night but that's what happens when you try and book a match that you want people to pay for within the week of the show. I love how the DQ came from a shoe throwing that barely made it into the ring.
I was wondering why Undertaker & Kane wasn't the first Cell match of the night, but the ending ended up making sense as to why it wasn't. Still, I thought Taker was gonna pull out the win. Maybe next month.
So with the commentary out of the way, let's get to the highlight reel. Dizzle presents to you WWE Hell in a Cell 2010, featuring the Hell in a Cell theme song, "Sacrifice" by Atom Smash. Check it out below.
If you're a rasslin' fan, don't forget to check back in about 3 weeks for highlights from the next event, WWE Breaking Point. Or, ya know, you could keep checking back for the other awesome videos that pop up. That works too. --Tommy Dizzlemits
